Women's Health

A transition, not a diagnosis.

Hot flashes at 2 a.m. Sleep that used to come easily and now doesn't. A short fuse that surprises you. Perimenopause and menopause are one of the least accompanied transitions in modern medicine — often reduced to "you're just getting older." We give it the time it deserves.

How it shows up

The whole picture.

Menopause is rarely just hot flashes. It touches temperature regulation, sleep architecture, mood, bone, and vaginal and urinary health — often years before a period actually stops.

i

Perimenopause — the unpredictable years

Cycles that shorten, lengthen, skip, or intensify, often years before menopause is "official." This stretch is frequently the hardest to get support for, precisely because it doesn't fit a clean category.

  • Irregular cycles
  • Heavier or lighter flow
  • New PMS
  • Unpredictable timing
ii

Vasomotor symptoms

Hot flashes and night sweats are the most visible signs, and the ones most responsive to nutritional and botanical support alongside any medical treatment you're using.

  • Hot flashes
  • Night sweats
  • Flushing
  • Heart palpitations
iii

Mood & sleep

Falling estrogen and progesterone touch the same neurotransmitter systems involved in mood and sleep — which is why this stretch of life can feel disorienting even when nothing else in your life has changed.

  • New anxiety
  • Irritability
  • Trouble falling or staying asleep
  • Low motivation
iv

The longer horizon

Bone density, cardiovascular health, and vaginal and urinary tissue all shift after menopause. We build protocols with this longer horizon in mind, not just the symptom in front of us today.

  • Bone health
  • Cardiovascular markers
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Urinary changes
How we work together

Support that moves with the transition.

I

Listen

A full 60 minutes on your cycle history, current symptoms, sleep, stress, and what your daily life actually looks like.

II

Assess

Functional review of thyroid, metabolic, and hormonal markers where useful, plus symptom tracking — even without a cycle to anchor to.

III

Compose

A protocol built around your symptoms and your timeline, coordinated with HRT if you're using it, or built as its own path if you're not.

Modalities

Tools we reach for.

Botanical Medicine

Traditional herbal formulations for temperature regulation, mood, and sleep, composed for your specific pattern.

Nutritional Guidance

Bone-, cardiovascular-, and blood-sugar-supportive nutrition suited to the metabolic shifts of this stage.

Functional Assessment

Thyroid, metabolic, and hormonal pattern review, interpreted in the context of this life stage specifically.

Lifestyle Medicine

Sleep architecture, stress load, and movement — the everyday levers that shift how this transition feels.

Questions, answered.

I'm on hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Can you still help?

+
We focus on the surrounding terrain — nutrient status, sleep, adrenal and thyroid support, bone and cardiovascular health — that HRT alone doesn't always address.

Is this an alternative to HRT?

+
We don't prescribe or administer hormone therapy. Some clients use natural support instead of HRT, some alongside it, and some while deciding. That decision belongs to you and your prescribing provider.

How long does perimenopause actually last?

+
Anywhere from a few years to closer to a decade — one reason it's so often missed or dismissed. We treat the unpredictability itself as useful information.

Do I need labs if I'm not having periods anymore?

+
Often yes — thyroid, metabolic, and bone-relevant markers stay useful well past your last period. We'll point you to what's worth checking through direct-access testing.
